1.5: Growth

Hey everyone! It's Sunday which means it's time for another Simmer Down 4 What update! Let's see where the Stickly family is today!

Part of Beebe's aspiration requires her to read with an adult for 2 hours so momma Holly gets to do the honors.

Later, big sis Eliza helped her finish the games of chess she needed.

Judy's birthday rolled around! I am at a complete loss where the black hair comes from, but I like her uniqueness! She rolled the social butterfly aspiration along with the perfectionist trait.

Poor Stick came down with some sort of illness :( He was miserable for a few days.

Holly was once again huge. But you'd never know that she's uncomfortable! This woman takes pregnancy like a champ. She truly IS meant to have hundreds of babies!

She is NOT, however, made for cooking. AAAHHH!! Be careful!!

Stick and Holly always make time to eat their meals together whenever possible. True wuv <3

Eliza and Judy did their homework in Beebe's room. Cause why not.

Baby time! Holly ALWAYS goes into labor during meal times.

We interrupt this regularly scheduled birth to announce that Chuckie has officially completed his aspiration! You reach for those stars, little buddy!

Into the nursery Holly went to bring their newest family member into the world!

And it's ANOTHER girl! I'm starting to think Chuckie will be their only boy! Everyone give a warm welcome to Ginger Stickly!

She is named after this little cutie, Ginger Foutley from As Told by Ginger!

That night, when Stick returned from work, he and Holly got to work on baby #7.

As if there were any doubt, it was a success!

Holly had been repairing things enough that she was finally building up a nice collection of upgrade parts.

Chuckie's birthday rolled around and he stepped up to the cake to celebrate!

He turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself. He rolled the freelance botanist aspiration and the self assured trait.

Mom got in some cuddle time with Ginger. Soon enough it would be time for her to age up and baby #7 to arrive!

Stick was at work and her fun need was super low, so she got to spend a little time playing computer games.

As I mentioned before, Ginger's baby days flew by and it was time for her transition to childhood! ANOTHER black haired baby - so strange! Oh well, she's also super cute. Upon aging up, she rolled the whiz kid aspiration and the neat trait.

Poor Holly's pregnancy bladder is hard to keep up with sometimes...she was on her way to the bathroom but didn't quite make it. Sorry Holly :(

As per usual, Holly's labor began during dinner.

I don't remember what happened but she ended up getting super filthy during labor time!

And baby #7 is....ANOTHER. GIRL. Oh my goodness. This little bundle of sugar, spice and everything nice is Didi!

She is named after Didi Pickles, the mom of Tommy and Dil from Rugrats!

The next morning, while the kids were at school, mom and dad FINALLY had some time to tend to the house. It was pretty nasty. Things were broken all over the place and just dirty in general. They tag teamed it pretty well, though, and it didn't take very long!

Upon returning home that night, Beebe received grade level A earning her a completed aspiration!

It was time to get to work on baby # 8, and of course both Stick and Holly were quite alright with that!

Holly was exhausted so she didn't even bother to take a pregnancy test yet. She crashed while daddy tended to Didi's diaper needs.

Eliza decided to help out and made breakfast for everyone the next morning. Gaining some domestic skills early is a good idea in case she's chosen as the heir!

After a night of much needed sleep, Holly was ready to take that pregnancy test. That is the face of well-rested pride - she is officially eating for two!

All the kids had been working so hard on completing aspirations and keeping up with school work to the point that their social needs all tanked. I had them pair off to work on building them back up.

Back inside, Holly put her bawse cooking skills to work and whipped up a chocolate cake for a special celebration!

It was officially Beebe's birthday! She stepped up to take the yummy frosting on the cake mom made her.

She aged up with a very unfortunate case of massive lips. Yikes. She still turned out pretty cute once I gave her a little makeover. But don't get used to this look, it doesn't last.

And that is where we will leave off tonight! Tune in next time to find out what exactly I'm foreshadowing when I say that Beebe's look won't last. Also, tune in to find out if Chuckie is destined to remain the only boy in the family! Until next time, happy simming!

1.4: Seeing Red

Welcome back everyone! As some of you may know, I recently went through a career transition so thanks for your patience during my short delay. I hope everyone who has had a chance to pick up Get Together is enjoying it - I know I am! With that said, let's go ahead and pick things back up in the Stickly household!

We kick things off with a little mom and son bonding time. Chuckie struck up a conversation with Holly while she made dinner after school.

That evening Holly decided to relax with a citrus soak in the tub.

The next morning, after the kids were off to school, Holly decided to enjoy her breakfast in Beebe's room. Cause why not.

Meanwhile Stick worked on writing some jokes, still trying to move up in the comedy career.

The kids indulged in a good, ol' fashioned homework party that night. At this point, both Eliza and Chuckie were A students and Beebe was still a C student.

Stick got in a little more bonding time with Jazz before she bounced out of the bassinet into childhood.

When it finally came time for Jazz's birthday, we FINALLY got ourselves a redhead! Holly's genes aren't quite down for the count just yet! She rolled the rambunctious scamp aspiration as well as the slob trait.

Holly was busy looking huge. I was really hopeful for some multiples but, spoiler alert, it was not to be. She was just carrying one big baby in there.

That evening, the redheads of the family had a little chat over dinner. I'm so happy to see some of Holly's genes come into play!

Finally, the following morning, the labor began. Baby #5 was ready to make its way into the world!

Holly made her way into the nursery to welcome the newest addition into the family.

And baby #5 is.....another girl! So far Chuckie is outnumbered as the only boy. This here is Judy Stickly!

Judy is named after Judy Funnie, the older sister of the titular character from the show Doug!

Daddy came in to say hello to his newest little girl.

Meanwhile, in the dining room, Jazz was finally able to join the rest of the kids in their homework party!

Jazz took a real liking to her new baby sis. She was the first one to respond every time Judy would start to cry! I love that the kids can interact with the babies...have I mentioned that before?

Judy proved to be the most needy of the Stickly babies so far. She cried constantly. Momma Holly didn't mind being the one to tend to her, though.

This is 100% a shameless excuse to show off these adorable PJs I found. I think I found them on TSR...I'll find a link later. Anywho, Grinch PJs and mismatched socks? Little Beebe is officially my spirit animal.

Stick and Holly decided it was time to get baby #6 in the oven.

This picture makes me laugh a lot. Holly is struttin' her stuff while poor, exhausted Stick is slugging behind her. He doesn't look too troubled by it, though, based off that smile on his face!

Feeling a little grungy after their romp under the sheets, Holly decided to clean the tub and take another soak.

What's this? Judy crying?! I'm in shock. (Heavy sarcasm is heavy.)

Poor Eliza had a really bad day at school. Someone was cheating off her her test, and when she called her on it the girl played innocent so well that everyone else thought that Eliza was just being mean. She was SO SAD. And it broke my heart. She came home and cried it out under the covers :(

When she finally came out to face the world, she decided to work on he drawings...very sadly :( My feeels!!

Upstairs, in the happy part of the house, Jazz helped Beebe finish off the 3rd chess game necessary for Beebe's aspiration.

Stick and Holly's recent romp has proven to be fruitful - baby #6 is incubating! I can't remember if I addressed this before, but as some of you may be wondering, I do have a mod in place to allow for more than 8 sims per household. It's the only way I can make 10 kids work if I want to do an heir vote that includes all 10 children.

This happened while cleaning up after dinner. SO CUTE. Autonomous brother/sister hugs and mom, with newly developed baby bump included, looking on approvingly? Too much cute for one photo.

This picture is to mark Eliza's badassness as she completes the artistic prodigy aspiration! Woohoo!

She finished in perfect time, because it happened to be her birthday that day! Mom baked her a hamburger cake to celebrate.

And I give you teenage Eliza! She aged up a little on the chunky side but still cute. I might adjust the weight later, I don't know yet. Let me say, first off, I do not mind chunky sims. I have no problem with it - however I seem to have this issue where just about EVERY child sim I have ages up chunky...some worse than others. If it weren't every single one I would leave them alone, but with it being every single one it tells me it's likely a glitch of some sort so sometimes I adjust the weight, sometimes I don't. It just depends. Eliza is still cute regardless, so I may leave her alone and see how the next few play out. We'll see. The bottom line is, if you randomly see her get skinny, don't be surprised.

Anyway, I don't know what's up with the pout. She may still have been having some effect from her bad school day. She rolled the successful lineage aspiration and the bro trait.

And with that, I will leave you all for tonight! I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season so far! Stay tuned for the next update and see if we finally get any multiples to move this process along! Until then, happy simming!
